ダニエル・ストラヒレヴィッツは、3月26日から神戸市主催の国際フルートコンクールに伴奏者として来日しました。母国イスラエルだけでなくヨーロッパ各地で精力的に演奏活動をしている若手ピアニストです。彼のコンサートにお越しいただければ幸いです。

Daniel Strahilevitz

Versatile musician, Daniel Strahilevitz has been performing piano recitals, Piano duo, Liederabend and chamber music concerts around the world, in countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, England and Israel, to name a few. As a soloist, Daniel participated in master classes with renowned artistes including Andras Schiff, Menahem Pressler, Olli Mustonen, Robert Levin, Gerhard Oppitz and Nikolai Petrov amongst others.

South-African born, Daniel moved to Israel with his family at the age of 3. He began playing the piano late at the age of 14, taking lessons with Mrs. Alla Astachova. Soon after, he was invited to play in Festivals in Belgium and Israel.

After playing the Berg Sonata in 2009, he recieved invitations to play and participate the following years at various international piano festivals, all fully funded, including “IKIF” in NY, HSMC in Denmark, and Oxford Philomusica in England. In the years 2007-10 Daniel took part at the annual Tel-Hai International Master classes, where he had classes with prestigious pianists including Dmitry Bashkirov, Nikolay Petrov and Eduard Zilberkant amongst many others.

In Lieder, Daniel has performed with many singers in Schubertiades and Liederabende, and has collaborated in workshops and Master classes with Charles Spencer, Yonatan Zak and Tamar Rachum. His vast repertoire consisted of Lieder from the classical era, Schubert’s cycles and individuals, Schumann, C. Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Wolf, Strauss, Second Viennese School, British and contemporary.

Daniel was serving in the Israeli Defense Forces under a special status of a “Distinguished Musician”. This enabled him to continue pursuing his music career at the Tel-Aviv “Buchman-Mehta” School of Music where he completed his Bachelor degree with Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky. Daniel will pursue Master studies at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik, Berlin.

Daniel Strahilevitz has been awarded scholarships from the AICF (America-Israel Cultural Foundation), special awards from the South-African Zionist Federation, and scholarships from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music for students with distinction.

Forthcoming concerts are to take place in April in Copenhagen and Tokyo.
